Afrobeat and Afropop queen, Niniola is here with her third studio album, ‘Press Play’ and this one feature lots of Maradona-like hits.
Since her release of Maradona in 2017, Niniola has reached mythical status with SA music lovers. Her type of music which typically blends Afropop with Afrobeat created a new musical flavour in the music scene. Extending her reigns as Mzansi’s foreign queen, she’s here with this 14-track body of work and this one is explosive.
The SA music scene is obviously one of the toughest in Africa, due to its musical saturation. Ascending through the ranks means you must have mastered your craft and this is true for Niniola, a Nigerian-born vocalist that has continued to captivate us with her sultry vocals.
Hot from her corners this week is ‘Press Play,’ an album that consists of 14 tracks with numerous collaborations. This well-rounded project takes all over your mind and makes it get lost inside a plethora of sounds and melodies that the full-length album offers.
