N’kay & Nim had us on hot seat after they teased ‘Kota Embassy Vol.29 (Grootman Edition) Mix’ on their socials a couple of weeks ago. Now, we finally have the full compilation in all of its epic glory and we couldn’t be more than happier.
N’kay & Nim are the two remaining members of Kota Embassy. The duo has gained a loyal fan-base since joining Tumza D’kota in 2017 to create pure piano scorchers. Known for their manipulations of piano elements and the injection of Kota melodies to typical piano templates, they were some of the few groups that were able to extend the dominance of the Kwaito sound through Amapiano melodies.
Giving fans two hours tour into their undiluted soundscapes and production arsenal, they are here with this fresh tape called ‘Kota Embassy Vol.29 (Grootman Edition) Mix’ and this one is full of energetic vibes and melodies.
Overall, this tape is a well composed, merging together tunes that bridges gap between Kwaito and Amapiano, while still banging hard. Enjoy.
