Now, after years of highs and lows, she is back in South Africa and shares her musical journey in this LP titled Stone Cold Heart. This project is the result of a journey of self-discovery, exploring R&B along with forays into Afrobeats, amapiano, and rock.
‘Stone Cold Heart’ is a 14-track masterpiece, taking us on a journey of what it means to be steadfast, despite road-blocks along the way.
“It felt like I was in a completely different universe. And so that’s when I was like, “Well, if I’m in my own universe, it’s going to look, feel, and sound exactly how I want it to. It’s going to be a representation of who I am now, after I feel like I’ve overcome so many personal and career challenges.” So Stone Cold Heart came from a place of pressure, and of feeling like I need to be a badass bitch. I need to be grown. I need to be tough. I can’t be just crying and just not strong. And that was a big thing for me, because I’m such a mushy, vulnerable, emotional person.” – Elaine.
‘Stone Cold Heart’ is a story of life challenges rather than a collection of music. This is only the beginning of Elaine’s new side, so stay tuned and keep your eyes peeled for what this amazing vocalist will have up their sleeves next.
