Normally, when a genre is growing, not many establishments pay attention to it, but when it has attained certain success, everyone would want a feature and this is true for Lekompo. When the sound first emerged, only those in Limpopo gave it their attention but as it continues to conquer the charts and dancefloors, more brands are beginning to associate with it.
This past weekend, the Groove Cartel session, the biggest music podcast in South Africa has hosted one of the biggest Lekompo artists for the first edition of their Lekompo series and she killed it.
