Fatal Car Crash Claims Poizen’s Life, Leaves Chymamusique in ICU

The Deep House scene has just lost one of its prominent producer, Poizen. The veteran producer and DJ succumbed to death following a fatal car crash that left his colleague Chymamusique in ICU.

Poizen was a leading force in the Deep House scene. A former member of the defunct House Duo House Victimz, he pioneered lots of sounds that is shaping the Deep House scene today.

Poizen and Chymamusique were booked to perform at Lifestyle Corners as part of their Ngiphe and Music Collaborated album launches. The show, which also featured Lamiez Holworthy as one of the headliners, was slated for August 29, with doors opening at 18h00. On their way to home after the event, they were involved in a ghastly accident that claimed the life of Poizen and left Chymamusique battling for his life.

Poizen’s last work was with Chymamusique on the record, “Don’t Wait Till I’m Gone” which also had support from the likes of Earful Soul, Lilac Jeans and Diamond Dealer. May his soul rest in peace 🕊️ 🕊️!
