Murumba Pitch’s “Me To Me” Album is Finally Here

Murumba Pitch - Me To Me

Maeywon of Murumba Pitch has delivered his long awaited album, “Me To Me,” and listening to this one, I no longer feel the absence of the disbanded Murumba Pitch group.

Maeywon, one half of the defunct Murumba Pitch group is a pioneering force in the South African’s Amapiano music scene. A singer and leading voice in the group, he has facilitated the makings of breakout hits such as “Hamba Juba” with Lady Amar, Cici & JL SA, and “eWallet” with Omit ST & Buhle Sax. These records not only topped charts, but were also featured in lots of local and global playlists, making them one of the few Amapiano group to have a global spotlight.

Strengthening his individual solo career, Maeywon has released his long awaited album via “Me To Me” and this one consist of 16 tracks which featured many music styles, including Private school piano, Sgija and 3Step among others.

There’s a lot to take in here, and the album does a fantastic job of infusing all the stylistically different elements together, allowing them to shine within their respective tracks. Each song pushes the boundaries of what Amapiano and 3Step are all about, making this the kind of project we’ve always hoped someone would release. Thank you, Maeywon, for coming to the rescue!
