DJ Stokie has just opened the festive dancefloor with the release of his long awaited album, “Shandu Ka Ndaba.”
DJ Stokie has been a staple in the Amapiano game for nearly a decade. Having consistently pushed the boundaries of the sound in his own 10+ years of releases, he has now taken it upon himself to defend the integrity of everything Amapiano by occasionally releasing albums and singles they are of high quality and essence.
“Shandu Ka Ndaba” is out everywhere and this one goes where most of the productions released by his peers have not: a realm that blend Kwaito, Soulful and Deep piano.
Featuring 18 tracks, DJ Stokie was able to express himself without limiting himself to any sounds. From Soulful piano to Sgija and Sgidongo, and even a touch of House, this album has it all and it wouldn’t have been a perfect collection of bangers without the creative assistance of super talents like Leemckrazy, Reece Madlisa, Russell Zuma, Brandon Dhludhlu and Afrotraction.
The weekend is around the corner and project like this are what is needed to keep the season lively.
