The idea of fusing rap with piano first sounded strange to us when Cowboii first mentioned the idea. But upon listening to his “Rapiano EP,” we think the Amapiano sound needed such evolution.
Amapiano was able to beat other sounds in the country because of the continuous evolution it had to undergo, and this is thanks to the creative inputs of its pioneers. Almost a decade since it went mainstream, the genre is still growing strong and we have young talents like Cowboii to be thankful to for their enormous contributions.
Adding more flavours to the Amapiano pallette, Cowboii has fused Rap and Amapiano groove and the result is this stunning EP that will make you dance hard. At 5 tracks totaling approximately 35 minutes, the Cowboii enlists a grip of high-octane collaborators such as Focalistic, Lowbass Djy, Daliwonga, Shaunmusiq, Lastborn Diroba, Thebull, Novatron and more.
All tracks on this EP were finely cooked but the one that standout the most is “Okarobala,” a track that is of high-energy vibes and made possible by hardcore rap verses and stunning piano beats, demonstrating Cowboii’s ability to create diverse soundscapes that cater to a variety of moods and settings.
