The reason Maskandi artists are thriving and amassing numbers that even mainstream artists struggle to achieve lies in the strength of their fanbase. Unlike followers of mainstream genres, who often chase short-lived trends on TikTok, typical Maskandi listeners are mature professionals in society who are drawn to rich melodies and meaningful music. A good example is taxi owners, many of whom exclusively play Maskandi records at their ranks and throughout their journeys.
