The reason for the breakup was not entirely clear, but it reportedly had to do with them needing their individual space and wanting to work on themselves. The couple broke onto the internet in 2024 after a video of them interacting captured the attention of many. Nthando’s calm voice and feminine appeal, which shone through in her interactions with her partner, left many people wishing they had a girl like her, not to mention the way her boyfriend spent lavishly on her.

The two lovebirds had known each other for 10 years and dated for five years. They got engaged in December 2025.
