Amapiano production duo Shakes & Les have mocked Simnadi Records boss Djy Jaivane after he reached out to them via social media DM asking for their number.
Back in 2022, when the duo were still upcoming, they reached out to Djy Jaivane, but his response was that he was not a talent scout.
In a screenshot shared online, the duo revealed that they had commented on Jaivane’s status and shared a song with him. He responded, “Bro, I’m not a talent scout.” They also mentioned that Kelvin Momo had played the song during one of his sets, saying, “Momo even played their stuff,” to which Djy Jaivane replied, “Good for him!”
Fast forward to 2026, Shakes & Les are now among the biggest duos in the Amapiano scene, and Djy Jaivane has reportedly reached out seeking a partnership. However, the duo does not seem interested.
In a DM sent to the duo, Djy Jaivane wrote, “Fede… Please pass your tens,” to which they responded on their status, “A non-talent scout is reaching out.”
