Tyla has finally established her reign as the queen of pop in not only South Africa, but in the whole of the African continent with her release of “A*POP.”
The exposure, the breath of fresh air, the new melodic perspectives, the quality sounds, and the attention that Tyla has attracted to the melodies coming from South Africa can’t be talked about enough. In the whole of our music history, we haven’t been able to produce such an enormous female singer and composer, and we are very grateful to the universe for letting us experience such a bright talent during our time.
With her sound very much distinguishable from what is obtainable in the South African music mainstream, the “Water” hitmaker has just labelled her sound A-Pop, and she is creating awareness of it with the release of “A*POP,” a 14-track collection of bangers that includes her chart-topping hit, “CHANEL,” which has garnered over 250 million streams across digital platforms.
The album also includes previously released singles like “SHE DID IT AGAIN” with Zara Larsson, “IS IT,” and “IS IT LOVE.” It has 10 new additions, bringing the total to 14 tracks, and the newer songs are even more melodious and are expected to further break chart records and surpass previous numbers.
