“Mnakwethu” is the new Amapiano smasher that might dominate playlists this coming festive season and snatch multiple awards. This one was cooked up by Ntsakzin, Massve, Soa Mattrix & Starr Healer.
Once in a while, I think listening to productions by rising figures gives you a different perspective and outlook on the Amapiano sound. While not all of their productions are mature enough to sustain our attention, some by truly versatile talents really contain the juice you need to squeeze out of a track to get the vibes and buzz you have always craved.
Ntsakzin & Massve are one such production duo. Just over the weekend, they released their long-awaited joint EP, Best of Both, and one track from the project that has had us in a chokehold is “Mnakwethu,” which features Soa Mattrix & Starr Healer.
Featuring powerful vocals and stunning beats, this one carries that rare Piano essence, something you would only expect from veterans. Well, we aren’t surprised, they recruited Soa Mattrix, and you can trust him to bring his experience and grind, which he executed perfectly.
