Ceega has kept to his promise of delivering another solid mixtape before the month of August runs out. Out today is “Meropa 233” and this one is titled “It’s A Journey Of Souls.”
Ceega’s mixes aren’t just made for listeners to while away time; they are made for those special moments, those long trips, and gatherings that need something to keep feet moving in different directions. Don’t you ever wonder why he doesn’t compile mixes that are less than 2 hours long? It’s because he knows his audience and the type of sounds they deserve.
Releasing two-hour mixes doesn’t automatically mean a tape is perfectly curated. In our music journal journey, we have listened to too many lengthy mixes that are absolutely pap, and we kid you not when we say we prefer a mixtape that is just a few seconds long but is well crafted, and transitions were made.
In the South African music space, only a few figures can boast of really lengthy mixtapes without flopping, and Ceega is one of such rare breeds of DJs. Today, he has delivered to us another episode of his Meropa session, and this one he releases via “Meropa 233.”
