Maskandi listeners are about to feast, as one of the genre’s rising innovative forces, Ujikelele, is set to release his next studio album, “Kwa-Zulu.”
“Kwa-Zulu” will come as a follow-up to his 2025 album, “Insumansumane,” and Ujikelele Khumalo will load this one with 12 tracks, just like his previous album. Most of the work on this album was done by him. Ujikelele composed all the songs except for track 7, which was written by Mlabalaba. He was the lead vocalist as well as the backing vocalist, and he also played the lead guitar.
Celumusa played the bass guitar on all tracks on the album except for track 8, which was done by Mlabalaba. Mlabalaba also played the keyboard on all tracks on the album. The tracks on this album were produced by Sonakali Zondi, and they were all recorded at Takk Studio.
Evan Smith did the album’s track mixing and mastering, and Thuthani Ndlovu is the album’s engineer.
