After the long wait, Young Stunna has finally released the first song from his sophomore album and this track is titled “Balinde.”
Young Stunna has proven that you don’t need to release albums every now and then just so you remain relevant in the competitive music industry. You just need to sharpen your craft and stay grounded with the trends. Not releasing albums for years doesn’t mean an artist shouldn’t release a track. Heck, if you go without a new hit in your catalogue for that long, you’d fade into oblivion.
Young Stunna understood this, so during the years he was crafting his Busisiwe album, he was busy pushing out bangers and collaborating with other artists to make scorchers. Although I agree, none has been able to match the success of his “Adiwele” single with Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa, these new singles have dominated playlists over the years and kept his name fresh in the minds of Amapiano listeners.
With his second studio album, Busisiwe, dropping October 21, the singer has returned with this pre-release, “Balinde,” and unlike what you would expect, this song is far from being an Amapiano song. Rather, it is a song with strong Hip-Hop and trap roots. Yeah, Young Stunna started his career as a rapper and only deviated when he saw Amapiano being favourable to his brand. So I guess he is going back to his roots.
