We hit goldmine with Uzondi’s newest album, “weNkulunkulu.” Released over the weekend, the project saw the Maskandi star serve diverse rhythm and one song from the project that is tearing charts is “Sengiyahluleka.”
You are always guaranteed melodic fulfillment when you purchase a Maskandi album. These albums, unlike others found in the many genres available in Mzansi, explore themes that we can easily relate to, and coupled with the strong Zulu influence and rhythm, you have a perfect work of art that is infectious through and through.
Over the weekend, Uzondi released his third studio album, “weNkulunkulu,” and after repeated listens throughout the weekend, we have finally found our favourite song from the album, and it is “Sengiyahluleka.”
“Sengiyahluleka” is unlike any Maskandi song you have listened to in the past. With a theme centred around disappointment and frustration, this song mixes dancefloor rhythms with Maskandi flair, and the result is a song you can’t sleep on. In the two years since Uzondi has emerged in the Maskandi mainstream, this is the most comprehensive song he has ever released.
