Sminofu’s “iTekisi” album wasn’t made to only make taxi ranks bubble, it was also made to get us on the groove and one song leading the charge on this is “Benilindele Bani,” the album’s Intro track.
If someone had told us that “Benilindele Bani” would be our favourite pick on Sminofu’s album, we would have doubted it. Guys, this track is only one minute and twenty-eight seconds long, a length so unusual in this space. A typical Maskandi song usually runs for 6–12 minutes, giving listeners enough time to bask in the song’s melody.
Over the weekend, Sminofu gave us one of the shortest Maskandi singles we have ever listened to via “Benilindele Bani.” Surprisingly, this one has been voted the biggest song off his newly released album, iTekisi.
Featuring typical Maskandi flair and vocals, the song carries a vibe that hooks you in the very second you press the play button. And just when the song has settled in your blood, it terminates at exactly 1:28, leaving you wanting more. The only way to quench this hunger is to hit the repeat button a couple of times.
