Aluku Records Partners With Mdu aka TRP & Bongza On Future Amapiano Release

It is a big one for Amapiano Fanatics as the house sub-genre continues to expand outside the shore of South Africa. An independent UK label, Aluku Records which is being run by Aluku Rebels has just partnered with our very own piano duo, Mdu aka TRP & Bongza.

The goal and direction of the record is all about pushing mainly artist from African Soil who provide a different range of Organic and Electronic House Music (Afro, Deep, Ancestral, Afro Tech, Soulful and more) hence the partnership with the duo.

According the the UK based label, the Amapiano sound is one that can easily catch UK audience in the nearest future.

Read their official statement below;

As we move forward with sounds coming from Africa I’m excited to announce a first special Amapiano release coming on @aluku.records by super talented duo @mduakatrp_official & @bongzamlotshwa . Two guys who have a balance of Deep Tech , deeper Soulful vibes in their sound .

What interest me about Amapiano and when I first heard it a good few years back was I noticed the raw dub bass lines and straight forward percussion structure of the music which was something I knew would catch UK especially black culture as our music is very heavily influenced by Jamaican Dub,Reggae music especially when you look at the way Ska , Jungle , Garage,Two Step ,Grime,Dub Step came about and was only a matter of time to when it would happen .

Here is a video I edited of a guy dancing or should say “Skanking” to a completely different genre of music (Dancehall)but you would think he is moving to Amapiano which is my point that it’s all connected . P.S Never seen a guy roll up and skank so hard at the same time and wondering if he still has it in his hand when he stopped lol .
