Da Gifto & Liyana Ndiweni Drop Collaborative EP, ‘Intfokoto’

We think Da Gifto shines more with collaborative projects. His Love EP with Brandon Dhludhlu had in it one of the biggest records of 2023, Ingelosi, which has amassed over 4 million streams on digital platforms and still counting. Repeating the magic he did on Love EP, he has paired with super talented vocalist, Liyana Ndiweni for another fire project dubbed “Intfokoto.”

I don’t think Da Gifto needs any introduction. He’s one of the few independent producers who has managed to penetrate the charts and make his name known in numerous households. While he has just spent few years in the music scene, he has developed the skills needed to shine and now he shows everyone what his soundscapes is all about via this newest EP called ‘Intfokoto.’

‘Intfokoto’ is a two track project. ‘Sthandwa Sami’ is the first track on the Da Gifto & Liyana Ndiweni’s collaborative EP and this one features piano chords and percussion, followed by heavy vocals that let you float with the tide, in and out of the melodic sea.

“Thando” is the last track on the EP and this one features Breezy Sax. The track sounds like Da Gifto’s typical releases, but the sax elements delivered by Breezy Sax, made it quite special. While this may be the first time some of you might have heard this track, for some of us, it’s been on our wait list for a very long time as the producer has played it severally on his own sets. And Sincerely, there was no better time for Da Gifto & Liyana Ndiweni to release “Thando” for the world to hear after plenty of hype was built around it over the past few months.

Overall, the ‘Intfokoto EP’ is fire and with just two tracks, Da Gifto & Liyana Ndiweni aptly captures the raw, unbridled energy of the Amapiano genre while infusing it with a level of creativity that is barely seen in releases from young growing artists.
