Record L Jones with real name Xikhongelo Jones Chaunke is a rising artists and a seasoned Amapiano producer with 15years of training and acquiring of a unique skill set of music production in its entirety.
He came into prominence in 2020 when he signed a deal with Simnandi Records which is owned by DJ Jaivane. In October that same year he paired with DJ Jaivane & Slenda Vocals for what can be termed the biggest Amapiano hit from the record via “Ubusha Bethu”.
In December 2020, he fell apart with Simnandi records after he accused DJ jaivane of not doing enough to help his well-being. DJ jaivane responded by saying he couldn’t do much for the producer because of the economic impact of the pandemic.
In February 2021, Simnandi records finally ended deal with him and ever since then, he has been an independent artist and producer.
Record L Jones believes in music and its healing properties and has set out his journey into the music industry with a mindset: to make it, with hard work, consistency and diligence as his core motto.
