It was indeed a sad day for us when it was reported that Sbahle Mpisane was involved in a ghastly car accident, she sustained a high degree of injuries and also currently battling with her life at St Augustine’s Hospital. According to local report her car veered off the road and ran into a pole leaving her trapped inside before emergency services arrived at the scene.
More investigation is still being carried out so as to ascertain the real cause of the accident.
“The cause of the accident is unknown at this stage. A case of reckless and negligent driving has been opened in Durban Central police station. Circumstances around the incident are being investigated,” said Police spokeswoman Colonel Thembeka Mbele in an interview with Times Live.
Sbahle Mpisane’s family have since rushed to the hospital she was admitted.
“We are all here at the hospital and things are very emotional for us‚ as you can imagine having a child in the intensive care unit. She is still in a critical condition right now,” said her father, Sbu Mpisane.
