Simnandi records undoubtedly is one of the few label that has made huge contributions to the growth and development of the Amapiano genre. Whilst they may not be recognized by some recent piano lovers, they still remain one of the genre’s most precious.

Aside its traditional duties of Producing and Distributing music, the DJ Jaivane-owned label has done so well in scouting talents and turning them into a star. Today, we will have a look at some of the present known producers that were made known by Simnandi records.

Young Stunna

Young Stunna

Young Stunna started his career as a rapper and hip-hop artists. In January this year, he was noticed by DJ Jaivane who brought him into his fold. After his signing into Simnandi records, DJ Jaivane went ahead to link him with Dzo and together to created the hit single “Ba Xolele”.

After the successful release of the song, DJ Jaivane nurtured and inducted him fully into the Amapiano culture, were he got noticed by everyone, including Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa.

Record L Jones

When Record L Jones met DJ Jaivane, he was just like every other struggling producer. Although he was talented and had all what it takes to become a super star, he never had the platform to shine, this DJ Jaivane and his Simnandi records made possible, thereby giving him a major lift in his career.

Since his signing and departure from the label, Record L Jones has continued to make waves and impress industry tastemakers. He recently released signed a partnership deal with Sony music entertainment where he released his latest collaboration with Slenda Vocals on “Umbali”.

DZO 729

Known for his curating skills and mad sets, Dzo 729 was among the earliest pioneer of Amapiano. Although he failed to burst into mainstream media, he still remain one act that kept the genre flourishing.

Earlier this year, he struck a deal with DJ Jaivane and his Simnandi records to distribute his debut Where I Come From album and after its release, it became one of the biggest Amapiano project released in 2021, With almost 7 million total streams on all Digital platforms.
