They went further to state that there is a small change in settings as one of its member Murdah has rebranded himself from Murdah to Morda. This is because he is preparing to launch his solo career as a DJ, but regardless, he still remains part and parcel of the Black Motion project.

Read the complete statement below.

This is the official statement from Spirit Motion on behalf of our brand and asset Black Motion.

This comes after damaging and untrue rumours that emerged on 29 April 2022, that Black Motion has split on social media by an account only known as Musa Khawula.

Spirit Motion would like to state on record that Black Motion members Thabo Mabogwane aka Smol and Bongani Mohosana aka Murdahbongz have not parted ways. Black Motion still exists and has plans for more years to come.

The only change which does not affect the duo is that Murdah has rebranded himself from Murdah to Morda. This is because he is preparing to launch his solo career as a DJ, but still remains part and parcel of Black Motion.

The same applies for Smol who is also venturing into other business aspects which will be announced once they are solidified.

A new album with new sounds and feel is in the making and we will soon announce more projects that Black Motion is working on.

We trust that this dispels any rumours or uncertainties from our fans, industry peers, promoters, brand agencies or any future events we are booked at.

Lastly, we would like say a big Thank You to all our supporters for their endless love.

Meropa le Merethetho always!
