Earlier today, Eskom activated the Stage 6 loadshedding as a result of high number of breakdowns on their system.
“Stage 6 loadshedding will be implemented from 12:00 until further notice. This is due to a high number of breakdowns since midnight, as well as the requirement to strictly preserve the remaining emergency generation reserves. Eskom will publish a full statement in due course.” – Eskom

1. Know your Timetable

2. Plan Your Session According To The Loadshedding In your Area
Organize your recording session according to when there will be power availability in your area.
3. Get A UPS
Having an uninterruptible power supply or uninterruptible power source (UPS) will save you from losing hours of work should incase there is a sudden interruption while still producing. The purpose of the UPS is that it provides instantaneous power supply when the input power source fails.
4. Work with Laptops
Most producers are used with the desktop system. But with the current reality, it is advisable to get a powerful laptop that can run most your production software. With a charged laptop on your desk, you have no worries about power failure.
5. Get A Solar System
With some thousands of rands, you can get a solar system that can power your most crucial devices.
