The Second annual Amapiano Music Awards have been cancelled for the second time after The Galleria Venue locked out guests due to non-payment from the organizers.
The extravagant Amapiano event scheduled for today, December 12, has been indefinitely canceled, leaving fans and well-wishers once again in a somber mood.
According to a poster uploaded by Zimoja, a warning sign was played at the entrance of the venue saying, “Amapiano Awards cancelled due to non-payment from organisers.” The security guard at the venue today Zimoja that he has been instructed not to allow any guests in.
This will be the second time this year the Amapiano event will be cancelled due to poor planning by the managements. The first planned Second annual Amapiano Music Awards which was meant to take place at Sun Arena, on the 2 April 2023 was cancelled due to low ticket sales and now this.
The management of the event has issued an official statement regarding the second unexpected flop.
“Dear Amapiano Lover, We regret to inform you that the second annual Amapiano Awards have been cancelled. Circumstances beyond our control have led us to make this extremely difficult decision. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. We value the support and enthusiasm you have shown for the South African Amapiano Awards,and we remain dedicated to delivering a memorable experience in the future.”
