After over a year of very little noise from Emtee minus his El9Six & Thermo-assisted track called “Zeichen,” the hip-hop prodigy is finally ready to return to the charts as he announces “DIY 3.”
“DIY 3” will be the artists fifth studio project and it will be a sequel to his 2015 debut album “Avery,” which was commercially successful and was eventually certified platinum by Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA).
Emtee is a major artists in the hip-hop scene known for pioneering African Trap. Creating a sound that blends well with the African music styles has been a way artists stay afloat in the music scene — especially when they get the combination right. Emtee has managed to stay relevant, thanks to his creative inputs.
“DIY 3” will drop before the end of the first quarter of 2023. The project will be named after his three sons and it will come as a follow-up to “Logan,” a body of work that was dedicated to his son Logan.
