With over 80 million global streams, K.O’s SETE is undoubtedly one of the biggest South African song at the moment and as expected, the song which featured Young Stunna & Blxckie was nominated in several categories at this year’s Metro FM Music Awards (MMA23).
With the track’s giant status, many fans had expected K.O to bag multiple awards at the well attended Metro FM Music Awards event which was held in Mbombela Stadium, Mpumalanga, but the opposite was the case. K.O’s SETE lost to Ngena Noah by Betusile Mcinga in the category of Song of The Year.
The song was beaten by DJ Tira’s Sikilidi hit single in the category of Best Music Video. In the category of Best Viral Challenge, K.O’s SETE lost to Deep London and Boohle’s trending banger, “Hamba Wena.”
While many had bet K.O’s SETE would bag Award in the category of Best Collaboration Song, he lost woefully to AKA’s Nasty C–assisted track, “Lemons.”
In the five categories in which K.O was nominated in, he was unable to bag a single awards, leaving fans to wonder how big the track actually is or how bias Metro FM Awards has become.
