With the few days after its release, Sjava’s Isibuko album has garnered over 7+ million streams on all streaming platforms, making it one of the biggest project yet in SA.

“Isibuko” which comes as a follow up to Umsebenzi EP released in 2020 (and the deluxe version released in 2021) takes us on a self reflective journey through melodic sounds and raw emotions.

With 18-tracks long, Sjava was able to tell a detailed story of his life, experiences and growth as a person and as a musician.

“This album obviously is a reflection of my journey over the last few years and speaks to my experiences and growth as a person and as a musician. Musically, it is a continuation of the process that began with the Umsebenzi EP/Deluxe and I hope my supporters enjoy the body of work,” Sjava said.

Within just few days since “Isibuko” was released, it has already garnered 2.6 million streams on Spotify, 2.5 million streams on YouTube, 2.4 million streams on Apple Music/itunes, 130k streams on Audiomack and 80k million streams on BOOMplay, earning a total of 7.7 million streams, highest figure a South African album has pulled in a short while.
