On July 14th, Da Capo will be releasing his long awaited EP, Bakone. The project which is currently being promoted by Molili featuring Batundi, Nana Atta, and the legendary Lokua Kanza will be his first body of work released since 2021.
The EP which will hold five tracks will serve as a precursor to the highly anticipated full album scheduled for release in October 2023. From the release of “Molili,” we can deduce that the upcoming Bakone EP will drift away from the Afro House and Deep House sounds we have come to associate with Da Capo to a more Afrotech-centric sounds.
“Bakone,” which pays homage to Da Capo’s roots will undoubtedly showcase his artistic growth and ability to create distinctive and captivating sounds. While this EP primarily embraces the Afrotech genre, listeners can still expect subtle hints of Afro-house elements intertwined within the tracks.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of this EP, and it promises to be a standout project in his catchy discography. Stay tuned!
