Kabza De Small cancelled a major event in Soshanguve where he was scheduled to perform due to concerns about safety following the assassination of DJ Peter Mashata.
Recall that some days back, popular Tshwane MC and DJ Peter “Mashata” Mabuse was assassinated in Soshanguve. Gun violence against performing artists has been an reoccurring event over the past couple of years and this newest development in Soshanguve has put fear in the mind of Kabza De Small, who pulled out from an event he was scheduled to perform.
According to Zimoja, Kabza De Small was booked to perform at the Bom Extravaganza All Black Edition on Freedom Day, 27 April, in Soshanguve but in a surprising turn of event, he pulled out of the show and notified the organisers of the cancellations.
kabza De Small offered to refund the organisers of the initial deposit paid to him. Although Kabza’s management tried convincing him to honour the appointment, he was resolute and insisted that Soshanguve is out of bound for the moment until things are cleared.
