Gone are the days when producers lock fan’s favourite and highly sought after tracks for a long and only to release them when they no longer hold steam. Today, Darque has delivered to us his long awaited singles, “Yonke” featuring Thandi Draai and “April.”
“Yonke” & “April” were two of the most requested tracks on Darque’s Groove Cartel Afro Tech set that was aired in September of 2023. Not only were these two tracks sampled on the Groove Cartel, they were also played on numerous of his sets and that of his colleagues.
After plenty teasing and anticipation built, Darque decided to let us in and have a complete taste of what has been driving Afro Tech fans crazy over the past couple of months.
“April” is more of a union of Afro Tech elements and the 3 Step styles that is currently rocking the house music scene. “Yonke” is a beautiful collaboration with Thandi Draai. Well, these two have been friends for a while and it’s amazing to hear the melodic connection they have and feel the chemistry they displayed on the track.
