It’s erroneous to think modern producers can be confined to a particular genre and sound. While it’s the norms in the past, it’s not so now. Infact, versatility is one thing we look at when we want to rate a producer. Who wants to listen to a particular style of music over and over again? Not when the dynamics of the South African music scene is constantly evolving and changing.
Taking a break from the deep & soulful House we have come to associate with them, Deeper Phil, Chronical Deep & Latique do the unthinkable in “High Senses,” an Amapiano instrumental, yes you heard me correctly, an Amapiano instrumental that features Kabza De Small.
For a long time we have only listen to a particular style of music from Chronical Deep & Latique. Today, they prove they are capable of jumping into any genre and sound and completely kill it.
“High Senses” might not be all you desire in a typical Amapiano offering, but c’mon, variety is the spice of good music. You’ll thank Deeper Phil, Chronical Deep & Latique after listening to “High Senses” in full.
Enjoy!
