With the rate at which DJ Big Sky is sampling his productions, it does seem like he has plans on dropping a massive project in the coming months. One latest from his corners that has got us on our edge is this heavy compilation called “Grootman Groove Vol. 17.”
DJ Big Sky isn’t one deejay that is riding on his past glory. Infact, he has given us hefty productions in the last couple of years that has reasserted his placement as one of Amapiano’s most consistent and forward-thinking act.
We know many new age listeners might not be familiar with his sounds, but before the emergence of Tiktok and other platforms that amplified Amapiano’s influences and dominance, DJ Big Sky was among those taking the sounds to greater heights with his consistent offering. Several of his productions such as “Fire” with LuuDeDeejay & Sbhanga, “Polo” featuring Sbhanga, Robot Boii & Murphy, and “Khushukhushu” with Sbhanga & Gaba Cannal once dominated the airwaves and placed Amapiano on the international map.
Continuing to give the Amapiano sound more wings to fly, he has delivered to us this four-hour long mixtape and this one is jam-packed with several of his own IDs as well as releases from other leading figures.
