DJ Obza needs no introduction. He is one of the proud contributor of the Kwaito-piano movement. Fast forward to today, and he still showcases a large passion for the sound via his marvelous works.
Giving listeners of Amapiano more reasons why they should subscribe to his soundscapes, the producer has served us with this banging new Amapiano tape. Running for over one hour, DJ Obza’s talented production and curating skills comes bare on this one.
Leaving Open Mic records was a bold move from DJ Obza. Although he isn’t having a rosy career, he has sure made some gains. We all know going completely independent puts more load on the producer. You have to make your own promotions, sought out that powerful collaboration and ensure your releases stay at the top of the trends. All these requires resources and time which most young producers don’t have, but we are proud with what DJ Obza has done so far. In just two months of launching his own label, he has been featured severally on Spotify playlists and while also gaining momentum on local charts, especially with his ‘Sgupu’ single with Dj Gizo & Buckzin Keyz.
