Mixtapes are some of the major instrument in which deejays shows their mastering and understanding of a sound. Today, DJ Stopper shows his curating range in this infectious mixtape called “Spirit Fest Sessions Episode 1.”
Stopper is one of the leading acts in DBN GOGO’s record label, Zikode. DJ Stopper’s very first experience in the music scene was hosting an event at Junk Park. Full of determination, he would go back to ask if he can DJ for them. Things started to turn out well for the deejay after he was able to meet Mr. JazziQ’s father and his connection with DBN GOGO’s photographer made his connect with some industry giants such as the Major League DJz possible. Through these connections, he was able to secure studio sessions which eventually led to him being noticed by DBN Gogo and got signed into her label.
Aside working with some of the biggest names in the South African music scene, Dj Stopper intends to collaborate with international superstars such as Davido, Wizkid, and Black Coffee but before that happens, he’s focused in giving us infectious offerings.
Today, he has paired with Spirit Fest Sessions for a lavish Amapiano mixtape and this one is a relentless barrage of banging piano tracks, showcasing his unique ability to blend various sub-sounds of the Amapiano sound.
