Kelvin Momo’s fifth studio album, SEWE, has debuted at No. 9 on the Spotify Global Chart for the week with 1.328 million streams. Released on August 9, the project is loaded with 30 tracks that explore the various sounds that make up Amapiano.
Kelvin Momo is not new to appearing on the Spotify Global Charts. His Kurhula album, released in 2023, also debuted at No. 9 from December 8-10. He continues this trend with SEWE.
SEWE is currently doing wonders on charts. Aside making global debut, it has also broken Spotify’s records by becoming the the most streamed album in a single day in South Africa by a South African artist.
With the numbers it has gathered in just a short while, it’s clear to everyone that SEWE will become one of the biggest project released in 2024. For those who are yet to grab their copy, you should hurry to do so now because you have no reason while such a superb masterpiece shouldn’t be on your playlist.
