Konka Soweto Officially Shuts Down

Months after announcing their exit from Soweto, industry leading bar and premium night club, Konka Soweto has officially shut down.

Known for its exquisite settings and expensive items, Konka Soweto has dominated the SA entertainment scene since its launch a couple of years ago, hosting some of the biggest brand in not just South Africa but the whole of the African continent.

Exiting from Soweto and seeking to rebrand, the giant night club has officially shut down their operations in the town and will be moving to the next chapter of their ride. From a source close to the management of Konka, it has been said that Konka has secured a space in Sandton and will reopen in the coming months.

Whether you’ve been a regular guest, celebrated milestones with us, or simply dropped by for a good time, your presence has meant the world. Your support has inspired us every day, and we’re excited to bring you an even better Konka experience at our new location.” – A statement from Konka Soweto reads.

Konka didn’t close their Soweto branch without a one more dance. Their closing bash has the presence of Maphorisa, Dbn Gogo, Dlala Thukzin, Darque, Tango Supreme, Leehleza, Shauniot, Nel, Linda Moeketsi, Mgiftana, DJ Milkshake, November420, Ali Claude, Kitchen Mess, Jovis, Daliwonga and was hosted by Kabza De Small and Oscar Mbo.
