There is a lot many of us still don’t understand about the Sgidongo sound and thankfully, its leading pioneers are pushing out contents in a bid to educate us. Today, we are proud to unveil this newest album from Lowbass Djy, ShakaMan YKTV & Ndibo Ndibs called ‘New Age Kings.’
A new era in Amapiano is coming. New sub-sounds are being drafted. And we are glad that we’re among those documenting the story. One sub-sound of Amapiano that deserves your attention is ‘Sgidongo’ and one artists leading this sound is Lowbass Djy.
Lowbass Djy first gained attention after posting a series of modified Amapiano sound which he called Sgidongo to YouTube. After gaining little traction, he began recruiting and working with other talents to expand the sound and eventually had a connection with Nkulee501 & Skroef28 to release ‘Saka,’ his first major collaboration with an Amapiano star which would go on to become a massive hit.
Officially unveiling the sound to the music mainstream, the producer has teamed up with ShakaMan YKTV & Ndibo Ndibs for this powerful EP called ‘New Age Kings.’
