Mdu Aka TRP’s “Thee Originator EP” is In The Works

By all accounts, Mdu Aka Trp is having another great year. His first release of the year, “Makhi” featuring Springle and Tracy is already tearing the charts, amassing close to a million streams.

To say Mdu Aka Trp has become one of the most successful producer in the present Amapiano scene in an understatement. He is the Pilar of the sound and the sole reason why it has evolved so greatly over the past couple of years. His introduction of log drums brought about a new flavour to the Amapiano sound.

Real name, Keith Mduduzi Mangena, Mdu aka TRP is an artist known for his unfiltered use of piano elements and production authenticity, crafting sounds that invite listeners into a journey of Soulful and deep reflection. For a long time, we have always wanted a solo project from Mdu aka TRP. Most of the body of work he has released over the past couple of years have been collaborations with other figures but that is about to change as the producer has just announced the release of his next solo EP, Thee Originator.

“Thee Originator” is a promising project that will evoke the emotive and Soulful elements that have come to define the Mdu Aka Trp’s sound. Mdu aka trp’s “Makhi” with Springle and Tracy will be featured on the project.
