We love the fact that some veterans are not yet giving up on the Gqom sound. As much as Amapiano is currently on the lead, the SA music ecosystem needs the survival of other genres so it can continue to flourish. Today, we get blessed with a new offering from Gqom lord, Mr Thela called “Buya Nini” and this one features Peace.
We have long waited for Mr Thela to release his first offering for the year and we are glad that day has finally come. The last time we had a release from this dominating producer was when he paired with Njelic to deliver “Kwandonga Ziyaduma.” Opening the 2024 Gqom dancefloor, he has served us with this hot record called “Buya Nini.”
“Buya Nini” explores the core essence of the Gqom sound, featuring heavy basslines that is sure to turn heads of Gqom lovers. The expectations for the song was very high and now that we have listened to it, we now understand why it is so.
