A while ago, false rumors spread across the web about the demise of social media influencer and blogger Musa Khawula. Clearing the air, the Department of Correctional Services, through its spokesperson Singabakho Nxumalo, confirmed that Musa Khawula is alive and serving his 60-day sentence in their correctional facility.
The rumors of his supposed death in prison quickly went viral, with Slik Talk even doing a tribute video for him. However, after checking with prison officials, it was confirmed that the controversial figure is very much alive and serving his time.
Musa Khawula was sentenced to six months in prison for failing to appear in a Gauteng court in a case involving Nozuko Mbalula (Fikile Mbalula’s wife) and Michelle Perrow. The case emerged as a result of Musa alleging that they paid bribes to secure government tenders worth R150m between 2013 and 2019. Unable to validate his claims while also failing to honour the invitation of the court led to him been arrested and jailed.
Musa Khawula was a thorn in the flesh of many celebrities. His defamatory stories has led to the ruins of many and only a few could match his clout.
