Nkukza SA’s debut album, Israel is out and it’s a perfect body of act. Featuring 16 tracks, this project introduces the talents of the rising producer to the Amapiano mainstream.
Nkukza SA, real name Nkululeko Israel Mabena is a producer and DJ hailing all the way from the east of Johannesburg in a township called Kwa-Thema. Nkukza SA gained notoriety in his community as a result of his out of the box mixing skills. At the age of 16 Nkukza SA had already started playing professional gigs and shows at established places around the East Rand.
He made his burst into the mainstream in 2023 after he dropped “John ubabakho” alongside Mk soul, LeeroSoul & Eeque. The single which immediately penetrated through the charts, possitioned Nkukza SA as a foremost upcoming in the scene, amassing half a million streams in less than a week of its release.
While he is yet to have a command on the SA dancefloor, Nkukza SA’s music style is infectious and is characterized by powerful basslines, intoxicating percussions, and sweet melodies. He draws influence from various sub-piano genres such as Sgija, Quantum and Private school piano, infusing his unique style into every track he produces.
Month after making some noise and ruffling the Amapiano music scene, the young producer has served us with his debut album entitled “Israel” and it’s lovely.
