It is good to see young brains adding their addition to the Gqom sound. Over the weekend, Omagoqa delivered his long awaited album, “Umqhumo Wethu.”
It’s been two years since Omagoqa dropped his highly Back to Ebombeni EP which made waves in the Gqom mainstream and now he’s back with Umqhumo Wethu, a seven track project that give us some more insight into his artistry and offer a further exploration into his sound.
While Omagoqa is an emerging force inside the Gqom music scene, he has been able to serve us dope projects that have pushed the boundaries of the local sound. Adding more flawless productions to his catalog, he has served us with this incredible project called “Umqhumo Wethu.”
This album has support from Qué DJ and Khanyisa, and consists of seven catchy tracks, each featuring a hefty bass that will keep the club active. The future is Gqom!
