Oscar Mbo has apologised to Kharishma following the ill treatment at Blouberg Spring Festival that was held on the 28 of September 2024 at the Senwabarwana New stadium.
On the said day, during Kharishma’s performance, Oscar and his team arrived late and upon his arrival, the management of the event ordered Kharishma to leave the stage for Oscar Mbo to perform. This disregard for the vocalist upsetted her and led her on a social media rants, which has thousands of her fans calling out Oscar Mbo and the management of Blouberg Spring Festival.
‘I don’t like what you have done to me at Blouberg Festival and I will not keep quiet,’ – Kharishma posted on her wall.
Making up for the attitude shown to Kharishma, Oscar Mbo has issued a statement. According to the house producer, he never intended to disregard any Kharishma, revealing that the only reason he jumped on stage was because the management of the event said it was his time to perform.
‘Apologies to you my sister. The communication we had with the promoter of the event and the change of times was clearly not communicated. We were booked for 3 events and they were all done by one promoter, they changed times on one show and it affected all 3 shows. What happened on stage is something I didn’t condone and I personally called my team out, I would never do such. I parked when you started and stayed in the car, I was personally called by team when the stage manager said it’s my time to get onto stage, I never leave the car when it’s not my time. Apologies for how the whole thing was handled but I got the full story when we left & by then the damage was done. I would never undermine any artist, we are all colleagues at the end of the day regardless of anything. Apologies.’ – Oscar Mbo said.
