Somizi Mhlongo has subtly shaded Penny Ntuli as he reveals that his take-home pay from Metro FM is times five of what most people says he earns.
The radio personality made the revelation after fans compared his pay with that of Penny Ntuli. According to some Twitter Users, Somizi who has zero qualification is paid R150k but Penny with the right qualifications is paid less. But Somizi has come out to say whatever people think he earns isn’t what he really earns and it’s actually a fraction of his real earnings.
Somizi used an analogy of a Mariah Carey post where she tweeted some time back about her earnings per gig, saying she earns five times that amount. Somizi said he is feeling like Mariah Carey now regarding his pay.
If we are to multiply R150k by 3. Then Somizi should be earning close to R450k/m, an earning only few in the industry can proudly boast of. Fans aren’t Happy with the statement and feel him revealing his pay is an attempt to bully Penny Ntuli who earned just R2800.
