The Big Hash’s ‘Heartbreak Hotel’ is Dominating Charts

Last weekend, The Big Hash dropped his sophomore album, ‘Heartbreak Hotel’ and it’s already dominating the charts, amassing over 500k streams in barely 48 hours after its release.

Anyone who still believe Hiphop is dead in South Africa is lying to himself. While it’s understandable to think the genre has faded due to the emergence of local sounds such we Amapiano and Afro House, Hiphop still carries much weight in the country and The Big Hash is here to prove it with the release of ‘Heartbreak Hotel.’

‘Heartbreak Hotel’ builds on the melodic styles and patterns of the hiphop prodigy: a seamless combination of rapping and singing and infectious melodic soundscapes. The project talks about love, betrayal and the pain and struggles one faces after the death of a relationship.

In this masterpiece there is sixteen tracks ready to come through your speakers and with the trends, it looks like the project might just resurrect majority of our interest and love for Hiphop music. The album is currently among one of the top 20 streamed project on iTunes and it might even do more than that in the coming days.
