Tyler ICU is one producer who has continued to draw attention to himself with captivating tunes and impressive mixes. Since first breaking onto the SA music mainstream, he’s consistently given the scene explosive bangers and he looks not to be slowing anytime soon as he has just returned once again with a healthy collections of piano bangers he aptly tags ‘Lucent.’
As a producer whose productions have seen support from several international stars like Drake and Rihanna, we have developed this trust for what comes out from the stables of Tyler ICU and so far, we haven’t been disappointed. Paying tribute to his Grandmother, the producer has released his 2024 album and this one comes loaded with 15-track that will make you appreciate Amapiano music even more.
Just like we predicted, Tyler ICU have pieced this album masterfully with all the right elements and structure. And with a vast arrays of collaboration that includes some of the biggest players in the industry, this album is the perfect vehicle to get you through the festivities.
“I grew up with my gran, so my upbringing was mostly with her. My parents came later in life, at the age when I was starting to go to school. I think I was seven when I met my parents. From birth, I knew just my gran. She’s the one holding my hand on the artwork. That picture holds a lot of memories for me—from how she has raised me and the respect that she has taught me… There’s a lot of stories on the album, and it’s just [about] being thankful of where l come from.” – Tyler ICU
