Changes are essential for the growth of any sound, but too much of it can break genre’s essence. Moderation has always been the key and right way of doing things. For the Amapiano sound, I think it’s hard to say if the consistent changes that has swept through the Amapiano scene in recent years has impacted its essence, but a trip to music produced during its formative stage will clear our doubts.
