It’s always an exciting day whenever we get a new mixtape from DJ Ace. Hot today from his stables is “Lekompo Trending Hits Mix.”
We know a genre is spreading fast in the SA music realm when various Deejays flood their sets with music from the rising genre. This is true for the Lekompo sound. Over the past couple of months, we have seen several deejays dedicate their whole set to the spread of this sweet melodies from Limpopo and now, we are constantly getting mixes from our favourites.
Aside from the mixes, Lekompo seems to also capture the attention of several recording artists including DJ Maphorisa who has worked with a couple of Lekompo stars to create some refreshing tunes. With all of these events, it’s not out of place to say Lekompo is South Africa’s next big thing.
